SW EDCM 2013: Meeting Needs and Fulfilling Potential
The third SW Every Deaf Child Matters Conference took place on 2nd July 2013 at the Rougemont Hotel in Exeter, with 110 delegates from across health, social care and education.
The 2013 conference was organised by the SW EDCM Steering Group - NDCS and Exeter Royal Academy for Deaf Education - and kindly sponsored by PC Werth, Starkey, Arlington Laboratories and the Thistle Rougemont Hotel.
One of the most positive actions to come out of the conference so far has been the establishment of a facebook group - SW Deaf Children Matter. This closed group, aimed at supporting communication between parents of deaf children and professionals working with deaf children and young people across the South West, now has over 100 members.
